Meeting called to order at 7:36 PM

Chair requested, if a member is not going to be at a meeting, that the member notify the Chair in advance.

< June minutes approved.

Discussion of August meeting dates.

Chair moved the Public’s concerns to the top of the agenda.

New Business:

Discussion of Shadow Lake. Perception by long-term residents that the condition of the lake has deteriorated over time. 2006 removal of 240 cubic yards from Shadow.

Discussion of options by Borough Manager. Including access issues for equipment to remove unconsolidated organic material. Agreement to review the options of vacuuming, pumping, and other non-dredging approaches. Discussion of changes in tree cover, construction around Shadow and Olive.

Discussion of current treatment options by Allied Biological. Discussion of aeration. Request by Allied that the Borough authorize two additional Fecal Coliform samples in Shadow. Discussion of raking and other previous treatments.

Discussion of Wildwood Lake issues. Including Canal and Purple Loosestrife issues.

Non-Committee member citizens left the meeting.

Discussion of cleaning a cove in Mountain Lakes.

Discussion of water levels in general.

Borough Manager:

Discussion of goose issues, DEP report, geese at Birchwood.

Discussion of plans for Canal.

Discussion of mapping the lakes.

Allied Biological:

Alum treatment for Crystal

Treatment coming for Wildwood. Second alum treatment in July.

Shadow. Olive, Cove, Grunden’s treatments scheduled.

< Island Beach failed fecal coliform. Second sample being analyzed now. Additional samples authorized.

Discussion of budget structure. Discussion of preparing more baseline information for future evaluation of results (water depth, sediment for example).

Old Business:

Possible flyer on phosphorus.

Raft on Wildwood.
