Chair:

< May minutes approved.

< Discussion of Purple Loosestrife possibly along the Canal. Allied Biological to plot extent with GPS. And discussion of the extent to which it is in the area of responsibility of Lakes Management.

< Discussion of water level in Mountain and Wildwood lakes. Uncertainty as to the flow of water through the Canal.

Borough Manager:

< Discussion of goose depredation needs. Appears to be a relatively low population in 2009.

< Discussion of Shadow aerator.

< Discussion of Mountain Lake dam boards. Discussion of process of evaluation of dam.

Allied Biological:

< Discussion lake by lake of treatments to date in 2009. Birchwood water lily control. Sunset water lily control. Sunset emergent treatment waiting for clear weather. Crystal Lake fine. Olive little algae. Shadow perhaps 30% covered and will require treatment this week. Cove fine with pollen cover. Grunden’s probably has a plankton issue. Treatment dependent on weather. Mountain Eurasian Milfoil starting to come back since we are at the end of the treatment cycle. Spot treatments for 2009 and Sonar for 2010, there may be alternatives targeting milfoil only. Wildwood has had an Aquafol treatment. Some water weed left by Boulevard end.

< Discussion of possible information bulletin board at Island Beach. Discussion of the e-mail process being started by the Borough.
