Other Business

Planner – Jim Bailey reported the Planning Board’s new Planner, Paul Philips, had visited the town on April 18, 2012.  The Borough Manager led a tour of the Borough and its facilities. The tour was followed by a meeting with the Planning Board Chair and the Board Administrator to review the status of the Master Plan. Mr. Philips is reviewing what has been completed to date and will get back to us with price to finish the document.

Historic Preservation Ordinance - Charlie Gormally and Tom Dagger reported on the status of the ordinance. The Council is waiting for a final review by the Borough’s legal counsel. Once that is complete they will be having their 1st hearing on the ordinance. Right now the hearing is planned for May 14th. If all goes as planned that version of the ordinance will be available to the Planning Board by the 15th of May. As a result the Board is considering changing the meeting day by one week to May 31st. This will give the Board additional time to review the ordinance. The Board Administrator will let the Board know by email on May 10th if the meeting date will be changed. If the ordinance is not ready for the Board and we receive no new applications the May meeting will be cancelled.

The Board is still in need of one alternate.

Jim Bailey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The Board adjourned at 7:50 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
