1.There were no comments from the public. Marnie Vyff, prospective new member, was welcomed.

 

2. October minutes were approved.

 

3. Laura has begun active participation. Marnie is observing.

 

4. The Prune and Remove recommendations for 2007 have been submitted. Of the 49 removals, 17 are street trees. Many of the others are woodland trees that c= ame to the attention of STC through homeowner notification.  82 trees require pruning. Homeown= ers who are responsible for hazardous trees on their property will be notified = by letter. Tom will finish the letters and mail them.

 

5. Fall planting for 2007 has been completed and Laura was instrumental in this effort, coordinating with homeowners. 44 trees were planted.  Tony has not yet  planted replacement trees at the = water tanks and the new fields.

 

6. Heather, Laura, Joan and Sue will fertilize the new plantings on the Sunday following Thanksgiving with fertilizer provided by Tony Cerbo.

 

7. Linda is gathering the FAQÕs and answers. Joan will review all the answers.=

 

8. Heather and Bonnie attended the annual Shade Tree Federation Meeting and earned 4 CEUs. Their classes included a discussion of minimizing liability before limbs fall and= a discussion of tree survival after root cutting.

 

9. All minutes have been posted on the web with the exception of June and Octo= ber which Sue will resend to Susan for posting. Tom will post H&SA Bulletin articles from June and September.

 

10. A. The status of the King of KingÕs property was discussed.

     B. Joan and Hea= ther responded to a homeowner request for information.

     C. Council has requested STCÕs 2008 Planning report.&nbs= p; Heather will complete it and she is looking for input.

 

The next meeting will be held on Thursday December 13, 2007.
