Summer Recreation Camp is looking for your hand-me-down items to use in our summer recreation programs: We would love: children's books, microscopes, science kits, walkie talkies, games, cards, dice. Drop items in box at Wildwood School labeled Summer Recreation or bring to Borough Hall.

TOUCH A TRUCK: Sunday May 31st 12Noon - 4PM RFL Boonton Township -- Please join us for our 4th Annual Touch a Truck Day where kids can touch, honk, and climb on the many vehicles we will have on display. Examples of the vehicles include a fire truck, street sweeper, police cruiser, dump truck, ambulance and more! FREE!

Summer Swim Lessons!

Learn to swim

Summer Swim Lessons will begin July 6th and run for 8 consecutive lessons from Mon. through Friday.

A second session will begin when the first has completed. Lessons will be held at Birchwood and applications can be obtained at Birchwood starting June 26th. There are no applications at Borough Hall. Participants must be 4 years old by July 5th.

Mountain Lakes Junior Track, Spring 2009

For girls and boys in Grades K through 8th

If you live in Mountain Lakes and love to run, jump or throw, please join our team!

8 and under have track meets on Friday evenings,
9 - 15 year olds compete on Sunday afternoons.

Registration fee is $25 per child with a $75 maximum per family. There will be an important parent meeting in March, notification will be made via email. Questions, please contact Mike Palazzi at . Details.

Lacrosse Summer Camp

Lacrosse Summer Camp for all boys and girls grades 2 - 6 (current grade at registration): Tuesday June 23rd to Friday June 26th from 9:00 to 2:00 at RFL fields. Program run and developed by high School coaches: Ken White, Darrell Fusco, Steve Feltman and Jen Munday.

Little Laker Lacrosse Camp from 9:00 to 11:00 for all boys and girls ages 4-7 June 23 to June 26 at RFL.

Summer Tennis Junior Clinic

For children 5 to 13

Classes run Mon. June 29th to Thursday August 20th (8 week program). Instruction, drill, and play for all levels of play. Ages 5 - 13. Teaching Pro is Joe Hollis from the Mountain Lakes Racquet Club.

Summer Tennis Clinic

Runs July 14th to August 28th

Summer Tennis Clinic: Weekly sessions Tuesday July 14th to Friday August 28th. Each weekly session is Tuesday through Friday evenings between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. Sign up for individual weeks. Summer Recreation Employment

Beaches will open June 26

Summer Recreation will run from June 29 to August 7. Counselors must be available to work for at least three of the six weeks. Applications must be returned to Borough Hall by April 10. Accepting applications for:

Counselors in training: Minimum age 13 (children entering 8th).
Summer Recreation Counselors: Minimum age 14 (children entering 9th grade). Application Form.
Summer Recreation Supervisors: Oversee program for junior camp (commitment for entire six week program) with focus in art, physical education, music, etc. Application Form.
Summer Recreation Supervisory Instructors: a week commitment to guide children in specialty areas like Pioneering, Theater, Gardening, Art, etc., this program will be directed to children in 5th - 7th grades.
Park Rangers: Minimum age 18, valid Driver's License required.
Tennis Tag Checkers.
