GIRLS SUMMER RECREATION LACROSSE CAMP

July 19-22: Incoming Grades 3-5 12:30-2:00 PM Monday - Thursday Come for a fun filled week of working on stick skills, fundamentals of the game, and more! Run by current Mountain Lakes High School Girls Lacrosse players. Supervised by Mrs. Mary Ellen Deitrick. Campers who are coming from the Rec. Summer Camp can bring lunch and stay until the Girls Lacrosse Camp. Turf Field, Mtn. Lakes; $50 for the four-day week. Registration form SUMMER JUNIOR TENNIS CLINICSSummer Junior Tennis Instructional Clinic for boys and girls from Mountain Lakes and Boonton Township between the ages 8 and 17. The clinic is divided into seven weekly sessions with the first weekly session beginning on Tuesday July 6, 2010 and the last weekly session ending on August 20, 2010. Each weekly session will run from Tuesday through Friday evenings between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. Total cost for one (1) weekly session is $180.00 per child. The clinic will be taught by Kathy Mueller and a staff of professional instructors in small group format with players evaluated and grouped based upon ability. This holiday is a favorite for Laker residents and made even more so by the beautiful fireworks displayed over Mountain Lake on the 4th of July. Donations from our residents offset much of the $10,500 cost. These are difficult economic times but please help us support this uplifting and family fun tradition. Summer Time is Rugby Time!!!Coed, Non-Contact fun for Boys and Girls age 5-14Tri-town Mountaineers Rugby takes to the Field! The game we play is called American Flag, a coed, non-contact form of rugby using flags. Players build and utilize the skills of running, kicking, passing, space strategy, and teamwork. It ’s a game for all shapes and sizes and is firmly focused on developing self-confidence and having fun. American Flag Rugby introduces young players to the game with an emphasis on enjoyment and sportsmanship, rather than on competitiveness. Children play in 4 age groups, each bringing in more aspects of the game as the players progress. The program is intended for children entering kindergarten through ninth grade. More information SUMMER CAMP 2010Join us for fun, discovery, games, arts, crafts and teamwork!6 Weeks: June 28th- August 6th, Monday through Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm All Mountain Lakes children entering Kindergarten- Seventh Grade in the fall of 2010 are welcome! You may register for individual weeks! WEEKLY Registration $80.00/week The focus for each day will include a variety of games, activities and discovery opportunities that will inspire learning, physical health and the building of friendships and self-esteem. Other events might include field trips around town, beach days, science presentations, storytelling, music, new games and various activities garnered from around the world. An adult leader will oversee each grade level in kindergarten through second grade with one counselor for every five to seven campers. Grades 3 - 7 will have greater flexibility in schedule with one counselor to every five to seven campers and adult leaders interspersed throughout activities. **Early sign up is important to ensure programming and staff ratio. There will be no refunds after the opening day, June 28, due to the outlay of expenses for materials and staff. Registrations for each week are due at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of camp week. Please fill out one registration form and Summer camper information form for each child. MOUNTAIN LAKES SUMMER JAZZ CAMP!This new program available for students in Grades 5-8 (fall 2010) will be held directly after our summer recreation morning camp. If attending Recreation camp in the morning there will be supervision for lunch before the start of Jazz Camp at 12:30. However, morning camp attendance is not necessary to register for Jazz camp. Week long workshops will be available from July 19 - 23 and July 26 - 30 at $125 for each week. Team taught by Jen Danziger and Joao Goncalves each day will include: small group lessons, introduction to jazz theory, improvisation and full ensemble rehearsals. Students must have at least one full year of experience on their instrument. More information.
