Mountain Lakes Sailing Association
Our aim is to teach and nurture the lifelong enjoyment of sailing. The atmosphere is informal and family oriented. Our clubhouse is the "Gazebo," and our waters are Mountain Lake.
The Mountain Lakes Sailing Association (MLSA) is dedicated to teaching your children to sail in a fun and safe environment. We offer a Learn to Sail Sunfish program on Island Beach for children 8 years and up.
Sailing is a life-long sport and we hope you will embrace this unique opportunity that has been a vital part of a Mountain Lakes summer for generations.
Please see the MLSA Calendar for a list of all important dates and events.
Learn to Sail registration opens April 1nd and takes place online through the Recreation Department. The first day of camp is Monday, June 26, 2017 and classes fill up quickly. Click here to register online:
Mountain Lakes High School now has an after school Sailing Club. Sailors leave Mountain Lakes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and travel to Perth Amboy where they learn to race from 4 to 6pm. The boats used are two-person FJ’s and the program cost is $200 a semester. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The MLSA thanks the Town Club of Mountain Lakes for their generous grant to the sailing program.
"Now then, said Christopher Robin, "Where's your boat?" "I ought to say," explained Pooh as they walked down to the shore of the island, "that it isn't an ordinary boat. Sometimes it's a Boat, and sometimes it's more of an Accident, It all depends," "Depends on what?" "On whether I'm on the top of it or underneath it." - Winnie-The-Pooh by A. A. Milne
