NOTES TO PARENTS
General Description: The sailing programs are designed to provide a balance between recreational sailing and racing. For
the first few lessons, an instructor sails in the same boat with the
learner. Generally a youngster will sail solo with an instructor
in a nearby boat on the fourth lesson. The racing instruction is
at a highest possible level and will prepare serious youngsters for
local, national and international competition. Off-lake
participation is strongly encouraged. We do not permit coaching or
cheering by parents during races.
Parental Responsibilities: Prior
to the start of sailing camp and after the close of a session, children
