Kevin – overview of EC goals – Environmental Resource Inventory

• ERI: How much does it cost? See anjec.org

Sandy

• Look at Highland’s Act first and then see if ERI can be built up from this. Maybe available, at the end of 2007 or early 2008.
• Grants available from ANJEC
• 72/88 of Highlands towns have an EC
• nj.gov\dep – imap – excellent resource

Kevin

• Look for resource paper, check out imap, will call Kerry Miller regarding the process of getting an ERI together.
• Well head protection – Shall we create an ordinance? This was our stated objective to recommend one for the Borough Council.

Sandy

• 1980’s – Mapping of the aquifer in the ML region (By Gary Miller inc.?), runs along route 46.
• Developed an aquifer re-charge ordinance
• Mountain Lakes market - Esplanade. New housing – no more hook ups. However, no ordinance against drilling your own well.

Cathy

• Invasive plants on private land. Can we develop an ordinance?
• National gardeners club

Phil

• Reinstate the quarterly borough newsletter. Great resource
• Cable TV promotions of EC actions

Oliver

• YouTube presentations

Phil

• Deer hunting. Bow hunters will not hunt where there is bear.
• Coyote problem in ML. Concern for young children. Permission from state to allow hunting out of season.

Gary Webb

• Bow hunting – what is the current situation?
