Lakes Management Advisory Committee Issues March 2004

The manager discussed budget items.

Able to put funding back for goose control beyond egg addling.

Able to continue testing for key water quality data.

Still have about $8,000 for cleaning, focused on the Canal.

Discussion of directing the Committee's annual walk towards reviewing the two new dams.

Discussion of storm water management plan mandate from the State, problems with getting vacuum/jet truck time from neighboring towns this year.

The Manager is planning to buy vacuum/jet vehicle to replace existing 25 year-old sewer line jet vehicle.

The new vehicle would be able to handle both sanitary and storm sewers.  This will lead to increased frequency of cleaning.
