Algae treatment

l
Discussions of
oxygen levels with aerator at Birchwood.
Oxygen levels still lower than anticipated, possibly due to the physical
transport of low oxygen water throughout the water column. Committee discussed diffusor and volume
model and ways to experiment to determine better use of aeration. Allied recommends 6 to 10 Biological Oxygen
Demand samples and three sediment samples to guide treatment. The Borough Manager will have to determine
if that is possible within 2006 budget.
