Meeting called to order at 7:31 PM

Chair:

< August minutes approved.

< Extensive discussion of the swim platforms issue. Consensus of the Committee is that they would like Council to review the issue. One member dissented: enforcement of the existing ordinance can control it.

< Noted that there were many geese on one resident’s lawn at Mountain Lake. Discussion of the coliform count at Island Beach.

< Discussion of algae in Wildwood Lake.

Manager:

< Dropping lake levels by one foot for hurricane season and for lakeside property maintenance.

< Birchwood being lowered to complete masonry work.

< Discussion of future lake cleaning schedule. Sunset, Midvale Boat Dock, and one corner of Wildwood discussed.

<Discussion of Sunset Lake issues, notably algae. Discussion of whether there is, and how much there may be, of purple loosestrife on Sunset Road.

New Business:

< Swim Association generally very pleased with the condition of Birchwood Lake and facilities. Discussion of masonry at Birchwood.

Old Business:

< Discussion of beavers in the Birchwood/Tourne area.
