Meeting called to order at 7:32 PM

Chair:

< March minutes approved.

< Newspaper article on Snow Goose problems.

Borough Manager:

< Discussion of Wildwood leak. Manager intends the Wildwood dam repairs to create a model for all dams in Mountain Lakes. Specifications have been held up to create an example of our preferred approach.

< Allied Biological received the 2009 Borough contract for lakes management from the Council.

< Discussion of goose control issues.

Allied Biological:

< Discussion of delays in permits dues to court cases on interpretation of pollution and application of herbicides. Allied has the Borough’s permits for 2009. Will keep Committee posted on progress.

< Weekly inspections start next week. Including waterfowl, gauge level review, dissolved oxygen, plankton sampling. Additional sampling in water bodies where the Borough has had management issues.

< Will make reports available on password controlled section of Allied web site.

< Discussion of potential alum treatments.

Old Business

< Discussion of Know Your Lakes and thanks to Reiner Mimburg and his daughter for creating the Spring flyer.

< Discussion of bathymetric mapping and the Borough budget.
