Meeting called to order @ 7:35 PM

Chair:

· October Minutes of Meeting – Accepted

· Chair and Committee thanked Debra Dewing for taking the lead in getting the Mapping project into consideration and approaching reality.

· Discussion of the Mapping project. Possibility of funds from other not unrelated projects being allocated to Mapping. Looks as though there may be enough to do at least Mountain Lake. Discussion of funding.

· Discussion of need to generate RFP for 2010 to begin bid process in time for successful management company to obtain permits.

Borough Manager:

· Discussion of Mountain Lake dam modifications. Problems with double board set up currently. Preferable to have a valving system. Temporary dam will be ordered. It will be notched or hinged to allow better draining if necessary. The lowering process and amount look to be easier than previously anticipated. Probably no need to dam the Canal. Brief discussion of the long-term plan for Wildwood dam.

Allied Biological:

· Planning to clean southern coves of Mountain Lake. Cleaning will also be done at the Midvale boat dock lunch. If possible, with time available, will continue into adjacent points. Discussion of access issues.

· Year-end report will be available for next meeting. Plan to present with PowerPoint. Public to be explicitly invited. We will seek attendance by a member of the Environmental Commission.

Old Business / New Business / Public Comments:

· Discussion of easements or access to lakes. Discussion of whether that is a Master Plan issue. It will be discussed with the Master Plan committee.
