Chair:
Discussion of Spring Flyer. Committee in
agreement that money for Spring Flyer could be diverted to other purposes. Perhaps a Boro e-mail blast on fertilizers. Discussion of the new
Boro guide.
ManagerŐs
report:
4Deputy
Manager passed out RFQ for dam consultant. One of two bids, this is the one Deputy Manager is
recommending to Council.
Discussion that RFQ does not commit Boro to specifics
on each project as would a RFP. Committee expressed its general sense
that it approves of the process the Deputy Manager has followed in arriving at
this recommendation.
4Discussion of access to Crystal Lake.

Biological:
4Discussion of purple loosestrife issues. Contributions also by
Cliff Miles of Woodlands Management Committee. Discussion of limited amount of
loosestrife, difficulty of finding all of it. Woodlands does not have a survey of
affected areas; nor do other units of the Boro. Discussion of
possible allocation of responsibility for discovery and treatment by areas. Discussion of
property right issues concerning stands running from the water/Boro property
into private property.
Conclusion: Woodlands will look for stands through the Boro. Allied
Biological will treat lake related plants. The Boro will begin to develop
understanding and possible attack plan.
4Permitting
process discussed. ML permits were
submitted prior to changes in process.
May be good for 2012 under prior process.
4Citizen
raised issue of Eurasian Milfoil, treatment process, persistency of
treatment. Allied Biological will
review the areas which were scanned and reviewed. Committee expressed its appreciation for the
information.
4Wildwood sediment mapping. AlliedŐs first field trial of new
equipment was in Wildwood. They
learned that lakes as small as Wildwood can not be completed with this
equipment. There were odd results
so Allied is going to manually check.
Discussion of Wildwood Lake levels.
4Discussion of possibility of work on Canal. No new information.

Liaison discussed Council draft of ordinance for permission for ropes at Club
swimming area. Did not pass at
last Council meeting. Will be
reviewed again.

of cleaning of storm water basins and need for reporting on schedule.

4 Discussion of lake level in general and in relation to dam work. Discussion of cleaning of the Canal;
Chair expressed BoroŐs hope of getting FEMA
funds. Deputy Manager discussed
the need to put a board back in the Wildwood outlet.
