up of Canal back on schedule after storm.
- Discussion
of the spillway issues at Wildwood.
- Discussion
of beaver damage in Birchwood.
Committee asked Manager to convey to the Council the CommitteeŐs
opinion that the beavers are a nuisance species in this setting and the
Committee would like to see action taken to address the problem.

results 2012 vs. 2011.
- Lake
by lake review. Changes,
issues of concern.
- Discussion
of nutrient loading; question from public about dog waste at the
Birchwood/Crystal lake watershed border.
- Discussion
of diminished unicellular phytoplankton vs. 2011 in most lakes. No blooms in Mountain Lake in
2012.
- Discussion
of increasing alkalinity in most lakes.
- Discussion
of Wildwood Lake sediment in response to questions from citizen.
- Discussion
of need to collect samples of possible brown algae from swimmers in
Birchwood.
- Discussion
of overall lake prognosis. We
are always going to be working with eutrophic lakes. Mountain Lakes is the most
proactive, analytical, and attentive lakes community, doing well.
