In Attendance:

Commissioners—H. Carr, J. Best, S. Marshall, T. Caine, L. Conner, L. Spencer-Greene

1. There were no comments from the public. Laura shared that Bill Bethke had called to thank her for the trees planted at his house. He is very grateful.

2. November minutes were approved.

3. Area reassignments were made as follows: 1-Heather, 2- Joan, 3- Bonnie, 4- = Tom, 5- Laura, 6- Sue and 7- Marnie (once she is appointed.)

4. 2007 Planting – Heather reported that the 2 spruce trees by the water tower and the new tree at the field should be in by Friday. Dan Dennison put boulders by the = trees at the High School to avoid car traffic as requested.

5. Several upcoming classes were discussed but all available so far seem too expensive.

6. Joan and Gary completed the Tree City USA application. It has been mailed out.

7. The FAQ list being compiled by Linda is almost complete. She will forward what she has to = date to Joan.

8. Heather completed the annual planning document and sent it on to the Borough Council.

9. Old Business – Susan will be getting the minutes to the Website.=

10. New Business – this is Linda’s last meeting; she will send in her resignation letter. Bonnie a= s a member of the HPC is working on a walking tour of town (deadline of 2011 for the centennial). She request= s the STC revisit the plantings at the Esplanade in the spring. Bonnie feels strongly that the Garden Club will take over maintenance of the area once it is restored.

Arbor Day in 2008 is April 25. We = will be celebrating on May 2. The= theme will probably be based on the book “Just a Dream” by Chris van Allsburg.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday January 10, 2008.
