The Garden Club of Mountain Lakes
The Garden Club of Mountain Lakes has been in existence since 1936.
It was integral to some of the town's earliest beautification projects such
as the plantings on the Esplanade opposite the train station.
While it has evolved to include all aspects of gardening today, its roots
are still deep in the community through our maintenance of 10
different public spaces around town.
The club currently has 68 members who share an active interest in
gardening and who would like to learn more and have fun in the process.
It is open to both men and women.
Our membership in the Garden Club of New Jersey, Inc. (GCNJ) and
The National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC) gives our members access to courses,
lectures and programs beyond the scope of Mountain Lakes.
The Club offers a variety of programs and activities from September through
June and some of these events are open to the public. Monthly meetings
are held on the fourth Wednesday and include a formal Program or Workshop.
Informal Flower Arranging sessions are offered several times a year.
We periodically sponsor Flower Shows according to rules set by National
Garden Clubs Inc.
