This room has 3/4 oak paneling with chimney breast, a deep bay with window seat, and two-tier windows looking out on a painted garden. The floor is painted linoleum made to simulate inlaid marble.
The room is furnished with a refectory desk, a torchere, three chairs, a foot stool, a chandelier on "rope," a military trophy on far wall; andirons and fender, a dog basket with dog and puppies, fifteen various small ornaments. Over the paneling hang seven paintings after Millet, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, and others. The room has an ornamental plaster ceiling and draperies at the windows.
