Our next Westminster Faculty Community Concert will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 4:00 pm at The Community Church of Mountain Lakes, 48 Briarcliff Rd., Mtn. Lakes. ‘The Girl from Ipanema: A Tribute to the Genius & Beauty of Antonio Jobim’s Music’ will feature Peter Plomchok and Mark Johnstone, guitars, with special guests on flute, percussion and vocals. Borough Council meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month in the Meeting Room at Borough Hall, unless otherwise noted. The Borough Council normally has only one meeting during the summer months of July and August and during the month of December. The exact dates for this year’s meetings may be found in the Community Calendar. The public portion of the meeting convenes at 8:00 pm. Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser @ The Community Church of Mountain Lakes

The Appalachian Service Project Team of The Community Church of Mountain Lakes is holding a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Sunday, 20 March from 11am-1pm. The Pancake Breakfast is open to the community and the fee is $10 for adults and $7 for children. The Community Church of Mountain Lakes is sending a team of high school youth and adults to repair homes in West Virginia’s Appalachian region this July. This venture is part of the Appalachian Service Project (ASP) – a Christian based program that has benefitted 17,311 homes and many more people, over the last 47 years. Their mission is to eradicate substandard housing in central Appalachia while building relationships between people.
