The Borough of Mountain Lakes is seeking an experienced head coach for its summer swim team. The Head Coach will be responsible for running practices and providing stroke and racing instruction, preparation and “on deck” coaching during meets, assist with set up and breakdown for home meets, and supervision/mentoring of a staff of assistant and junior coaches. The mission of the Head Coach is to provide a safe, educational fun environment for children to grow as swimmers and people. Collaborate with swim board for foster an overall atmosphere of pride, dedication, good sportsmanship, fun and teamwork amongst all team members, coaches and volunteers. Prior experience as a head or assistant YMCA, USA, high school or summer coach is required. Strong leadership and motivational skills required. Salary commensurate with experience. Borough of Mountain Lakes is seeking a Beach Manager to operate and manage all aspects of two town beaches. Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills mandatory with ability to supervise and oversee aquatics staff as well as interact with public. Ability to develop and expand swim lesson program is needed. Beach Manager will be responsible for managing the lifeguard staff and overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the beach areas. Borough of Mountain Lakes is seeking an Assistant Beach Manager to prepare the beaches for the season, train lifeguard staff and work with the Recreation Director to plan and oversee the 4th of July Races, the Summer Concerts and the Movie Night. Duties involve overseeing all lifeguarding preparation, working with Beach Manager on staff scheduling, janitorial duties, cleaning of bathrooms, concession stand area and parking lots. This employee should have excellent organizational and communication skills. This is a seasonal position requiring some weekend and holiday work. Borough of Mountain Lakes is seeking motivated, lifeguard/CPR/AED and Waterfront Skill certified lifeguards for summer employment at the town beaches. The Sailing Director must maintain communication with the Beach Director and Lifeguard staff in order to maintain safety for sailors and all beach users. Borough of Mountain Lakes is seeking experienced, patient, energetic Camp Counselors for several camp programs including day camp, sailing camp and teen adventure camp. Counselors must be patient, self-motivated, responsible, and sensitive to camper’s needs. Counselors will be expected to encourage campers to participate in camp activities, facilitate conversation and friendship among campers and serve as positive role models.
