The 2014 Town Club Holiday House Tour will be Friday, December 5th. Four extraordinary Laker homes will be on tour from 5-9pm as well as the historic Lake Drive School from 5-7pm. Tickets are $35 and are available online at townclubml.org and at the Mountain Lakes library beginning November 20.
The parade will assemble at 9:30 a.m. at Wildwood School (51 Glen Road) and steps off at 10:00 a.m. The parade route will remain unchanged and the ceremonies take place immediately following the parade at Memorial Park.
In the event of inclement weather there will be no parade. Nevertheless, the traditional placement of the wreaths will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Park, followed by indoor Memorial Day ceremonies at 10 a.m. in the Mountain Lakes High School auditorium (Powerville Road). Updates for Parade status will be posted to the Borough Website, www.mtnlakes.org
The Board of Education is reviewing the Policy for Light Usage on Wilkins Field. On Monday, October 19th, the Board will be voting on a revision to the Policy this change will allow Borough Recreation programs to use the field with the lights You can read the proposed policy at www.mlschools.org. The Board welcomes public comment on this and other topics at their meetings. If you are unable to attend a meeting, you can email the Superintendent, Anne Mucci, (amucci@mlschools.org) directly if you would like to offer your thoughts to the Board for their consideration.
